Candice Kohl
Candice Kohl won her first writing contest in third grade, and she hasn't stopped writing fiction since. Ironically, her first published book was non-fiction-- The String on a Roast Won't Catch Fire in the Oven, a how-to book for young people moving out on their own. But her main interest has always been writing romances set in far away places and in distant times. For decades, when she wasn't writing, she was on stage, most frequently at The Sunset Playhouse, in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Nowadays, when not at her computer--or riding her horse, Miz Ed--she is giving carriage tours in historic, downtown Savannah. "Someone once said, 'It's not where you're born that counts, but where you want to die.' And Savannah is where I want to be when I go."
